Gaël Angelis détourne le phonographe, objet antique, ancêtre du MP3.
Il dispose dans l’espace des phonographes entièrement réalisés en papier, avec des disques en carte à gratter ou le sillon aléatoire gravé est lu par une aiguille amplifiée a l’aide de pavillons de papier de tailles diverses permettant une composition paramétrique en volume et en fréquences.
Ces formes primitives au matériau fragile, génèrent et diffusent un chaos de fréquences, représentation sensible et plastique d’un environnement urbain bruyant, et exprime par une poésie sobre la fugacité des moyens de transmission et diffusion des flux sonores.
Ses intentions sont alors d’exprimer le rapport émotionnel et psychologique que l’on entretient face aux bruits, comment ceux-ci sont réappropriés et parfois complètement intégrés à notre espace vécu, ainsi peut on violemment les subir ou entendre leur musicalité et presque les oublier.

Gaël Angelis hijacks the phonograph, an ancient object, ancestor of the MP3.
He arranges in space phonographs entirely made of paper, with scratch card discs where the engraved random groove is read by an amplified needle with the help of paper bells of various sizes allowing a parametric composition in volume and in frequencies.
These primitive forms with fragile material, generate and diffuse a chaos of frequencies, sensitive and plastic representation of a noisy urban environment, and expresses by a sober poetry the transience of the means of transmission and diffusion of sound flows.
His intentions are then to express the emotional and psychological relationship that we have in the face of noises, how these are reappropriated and sometimes completely integrated into our lived space, so we can violently suffer them or hear their musicality and almost forget them. .
